The ideal web host in Singapore prioritizes swift speeds, features tailored for local businesses, and robust customer support.
What’s more, a good website needs enough bandwidth, storage, a cheap domain, and easy management through a simple control panel. Price also plays a big role in choosing the best hosting.
After rigorous testing from multiple test websites, Hostinger stands out as the top hosting option for Singapore websites for consistently meeting these standards.

1. Hostinger
https://www.hostinger.com/This little Lithuanian web hosting company has made waves internationally with their seriously fast server speeds and very affordable prices.
In fact – when we did some market research on leading web host brands, Hostinger turned out to be the Most Sought-After Web Host of 2020 (Read the full report here).
Hostinger is now the most popular hosting brand in the world!
Turns out, they’re a fantastic choice for Singaporean websites too!
Hostinger’s performance
Upon discovering that they’ve got a data center in Singapore, we decided to create a test site with them to see how they fare against the best of the best web hosting companies around.
After doing some testing, we decided that they deserve a spot on the big boy’s table here on this list. Hostinger Singapore definitely doesn’t disappoint.
Their Singapore server did really well in our server response time test, with a worldwide average of 168.9 ms, and under 100 ms in Singapore, Japan, Sydney, and Bangalore, but that’s already expected, being an international web host and all.
Avg. Speed: 168.9 ms – See full result
Hostinger’s features and pricing
All of Hostinger’s plans come packed with premium features and boast a low introductory price.
What really impressed us was the amount of value we got at their irresistibly low price point. Our Premium Shared plan only cost SGD4.04 per month and the number of features we received with it felt almost criminal.
We got almost all of the same benefits of the premium web hosting counterparts, namely:
- Unlimited bandwidth
- 100GB SSD
- NGINX caching
- PHP7 support
- GIT support
- A great control panel (hPanel)
These are just a few of the features we received, but the icing on this very beautiful cake is that Hostinger provides their premium shared users with 1 free domain name! It’s a small gesture that really has a big impact, especially for beginner business owners who are worried about snowballing start-up costs.
Needless to say, we really like Hostinger. They’re able to offer premium-like features & speeds at super affordable prices and plans (from SGD4.04 a month) – perfect for beginners and startups. And if you’re able to commit to a long-term plan, well – it’s hard to beat SGD2.69/mo (for the 4 year plan). Read our in-depth Hostinger review for more info.
Hostinger’s customer support
We’ve written a whole article looking at how great Hostinger’s customer service is – it’s a big part of having peace of mind. They offer helpful support 24/7 over live chat, and we’ve found all our enquiries were addressed very quickly and effectively.
We feel that Hostinger really cares for their customers because of how they structure and train their support team. Their support widget can be easily found on the bottom right of their dashboard, which eases frustration because who wants to hunt for the damn link to the live chat when something goes wrong with our websites?
Their service is available in 20+ countries and in 13 different languages to make communications easier (including Mandarin and Malay!). They’re also really knowledgeable and super helpful. They don’t mind holding your hand and guiding you step-by-step to fix your website woes, no matter how silly they may be.

2. Vodien
https://www.vodien.com/Next, we tested one of Singapore’s finest, combed through their features and sweet talked their customer service team, just to help you decide which host to go with.
Vodien’s performance
Vodien justifies their prices when it comes to server speed. With a worldwide average ranking of 177.6 ms, 95.5 ms in Asia, and 6 ms in Singapore, you know that your customers aren’t waiting long to load up your site.
Avg. Speed: 177.6 ms – See full result
Numbers-wise, they are slightly slower compared to the other 4 hosts above but at 177.6 ms, you won’t be able to tell the difference.
Vodien’s features and pricing
Feature-wise, Vodien did quite well.
SSD Storage? Yes, but only on Business Hosting plans.
- Storage Space? 15 gigs – not bad!
- Websites Allowed – Limited to 5
- Bandwidth – unlimited
- Worldwide Speed: A+
Not bad, right? Vodien’s features are comparable to top-ranking web hosts. Although not the best in the market, their worldwide server speed and the fact that they are home-grown in Singapore make Vodien a worthwhile option for your web hosting needs.
Vodien’s customer support
Vodien really stands out with their customer support. They offer 24/7 email and live chat support, plus daily phone assistance, which is great. The support team is helpful, although sometimes you might experience a bit of a wait. But overall, it’s reassuring to know help is just a call or click away whenever you need it.

- Local Singaporean business

They offer a robust network of 6 global data centers. This includes one directly in Singapore to ensure minimal latency for websites targeting Singapore and the South East Asian region.
TMDHosting’s performance
TMDHosting demonstrated its ability to maintain fast speeds and high uptime when we put it to the test. Our Bitcatcha Server Speed Checker recorded an excellent average global server response time of just 126.8 ms.
Avg. Speed: 126.8 ms – See full result
This test returned a 230 ms server response time from our Singapore node but this is because we were hosting from their Chicago data center on the other side of the world. The great news is that TMDHosting operates a wide network of 6 data centers to choose from and this includes one within Singapore itself. Hosting your site from their Singapore servers is the best option if you’re a local website targeting audiences in the region.

Avg. Speed: 118.6 ms – See full result

GreenGeeks’ servers are optimized for speed by utilizing SSD RAID-10 storage arrays and LiteSpeed web servers. They also offer an impressive uptime guarantee of 99.9%.
GreenGeeks’ features and pricing
GreenGeeks plans start at SGD 3.98/mo for their Lite plan. It provides a competitive range of features including 50 GB SSD storage and unlimited data transfer. Free SSL, 50 email accounts and the user-friendly cPanel are also provided.
This plan also offers a free domain for the first year, automatic nightly backups, and managed WordPress services. The pricing structure is straightforward and users easily upgrade when they need more resources. Read our in-depth GreenGeeks review for more info.
GreenGeeks’ customer support
GreenGeek’s customer support is available 24/7 through live chat and email. They also offer phone support but contact hours are limited to 9PM – 12PM SGT ( 9 AM to 12 AM EST) which unfortunately doesn’t align very well with Singapore working hours. Their quality of assistance is frequently praised by online reviews and our own first-hand experience confirmed the team is efficient and knowledgeable.
Pros and cons of GreenGeeks
Pros
- Eco-friendly hosting with 300% renewable energy matching
- Singapore data center
- Comprehensive 24/7 customer support
- Free domain for the first year
- Nightly backups included

5. SiteGround
https://www.siteground.comSiteGround’s performance
SiteGround recently moved their entire infrastructure to the Google Cloud Platform, which allows for easy scalability, better security and faster speeds for their users. Throw in additional perks like their ready-to-use caching system and the SuperCacher, and SiteGround has a clear advantage.
When we put the host through our unique server speed checker, SiteGround produced phenomenal results, with a worldwide average ranking of 159.9 ms, and an average of 58.5 ms in Asia!
Avg. Speed: 159.9 ms – See full result
In Singapore itself, SiteGround’s response time is a lightning fast 3 ms, thanks to their local data center!
SiteGround’s features and pricing
SiteGround offers a range of plans for a range of users.
Feature wise, SiteGround didn’t disappoint:
- SSD Storage – Check
- Storage Space – 20 freakin’ gigs
- Websites allowed – As many as you want
- Bandwidth – Up to 100,000 visits
- Worldwide Speed: A+
All for a measly SGD9.03 a month (I eat snacks more expensive than that!).
However, bear in mind that SiteGround’s renewal prices can get expensive. Be mentally prepared to pay more than double the introductory prices to renew the contract. But for the service you get? We think it’s worth it. Read our full SiteGround review to learn more.
SiteGround’s customer support
SiteGround is a strong contender – especially when it comes to customer service. They offer support via 24/7 Live Chat, ticketing, and also the phone. They’ll respond to any of your issues quickly, and they are a tremendously knowledgeable bunch. If you ask nicely, they’ll even tell you where to find the best chilli crab in Singapore (OKAY I’M KIDDING!).
Our problems were solved without transferring us to different departments, saving us the hassle of repeating our issues over and over again until somebody can help us, which is a major time saver.
Pros and cons of SiteGround
Pros
- WordPress-endorsed Managed WordPress hosting
- Singapore data center and fast server speeds worldwide
- SuperCacher tech. to load your site 4x faster!

- Free domain not included
- No VPS or dedicated hosting plans
6. HostPapa
https://www.hostpapa.sg/Next is HostPapa, an independently-owned company based in Toronto.
They’ve been selling web hosting since 2005, which makes them a bit newer than some of the hosts on here. Still, their top executives supposedly have 70+ years of industry experience combined!
HostPapa’s performance
We’ve been reviewing HostPapa for years and have always found it a very solid product. The only reason we’re bringing it lower down this list is because it only has servers in the US, Canada and Europe. If only they had a server nearer to Asia!
But we STILL think HostPapa is a great option for Singaporean websites. And our speed test results agree. We hosted a total of 3 test websites, ran them through our speed test tool, and were impressed. Just take a look-see.
Avg. Speed: 143 ms – See full result
The best response time pinged from Singapore was 160 ms. Even though this was hosted all the way from Amsterdam, it’s impressively fast for Singaporean audiences!
On paper, their numbers can’t beat our #1 web host Hostinger, but with global speed averaging at 143ms, loading up your page is pretty much instantaneous. To sum it up, HostPapa’s servers respond quickly for ALL your site visitors – whether they’re based in Singapore, or elsewhere on the planet.
HostPapa’s features and pricing
HostPapa’s cheapest plan works well for small single sites, but their Pro Plan is where things really ramp up with the ‘unlimiteds’.
Its Start plan costs just SGD 8.03 (for a 3 year commitment) and even then you get a ton of value:
- A free domain registration
- Free site migration
- 100GB of disk space
- ‘Unlimited’ bandwidth
- Cloudflare CDN, free SSL
- Access to an award-winning customer support team
In all, HostPapa offers awesome value, speed and support. Sure, we wish they had a data center in Singapore, and we’d like to see more speed enhancing features. But at least they’ve proved their speed in our speed tests. In all, we think HostPapa offers great value for money for small businesses. Its plans are cheap, but you’re getting a whole load of bang for buck. Read our complete HostPapa review.
Pros and cons of HostPapa
Pros
- Great server speeds – especially in Europe & North America
- Eco-conscious
- Great support team
- Free knowledgebase of videos and tutorials
- 30-minute consultation 1-on-1 for free
Cons
- Automatic backups cost extra
- No data centers near Asia or Australia
7. DreamHost
https://www.dreamhost.com/If we’re talking about international players, it’s only natural to also mention DreamHost! Headquartered in California, DreamHost has served over 400,000 customers and 1.5 million sites.
DreamHost’s performance
Speed-wise, DreamHost doesn’t joke around. Thanks to their use of speed-boosting SSD servers, DreamHost scored a solid A+ ranking on our speed tests, with an impressive worldwide average of 118.4 ms.
Avg. Speed: 118.4 ms – See full result
A key point to note here is that DreamHost has only 2 data centers that are both based in the US. As expected, speeds got significantly slower when serving regions further away from the North American continent. We noticed the average response time for Asia is 203.75 ms, with Singapore pinging back 242 ms.
Whilst these speeds aren’t ideal, bear in mind it’s only a real problem if your website audience is based in this part of the world. BUT, if your website is mostly serving audiences in the US or Europe, we’d say DreamHost is one of the best hosts you can pick from. To start with – their average worldwide speed is actually the fastest out of all the hosts on this list!
DreamHost’s features and pricing
DreamHost has two tiers of plans – we’d recommend the Shared Unlimited if you want more resources to play with – like unlimited websites and emails.
What’s also definitely worth mentioning is their money back guarantee. Whilst most hosts offer a standard 30-day money back guarantee, DreamHost takes it to the next level by extending it up to 97 days!
They’re especially awesome if you plan to host a WordPress site. They’re actually 1 of only 3 web hosts who are ‘officially’ endorsed by WordPress. For them – it’s a great vote of confidence. For you – it means WordPress runs beautifully, you’ll have access to a support team of WP experts, and you’ll be able to use their nifty drag-and-drop WP Website Builder to get your site up quickly.
Plus, when we look at DreamHost’s features – we really have nothing to complain about.
- SSD storage – Yessir!
- Storage Space – A fabulous 50GB on the Starter (SGD 3.98), or you can upgrade to unlimited
- Websites Allowed – 1, or upgrade to unlimited
- Bandwidth – Unlimited
- Worldwide Speed: A+
What are the drawbacks of DreamHost? As we’ve said, we can’t help but wish they had some data centers outside the US too. Their US-focus also means that, if you want to use their live chat, you’ll need to observe the working hours of the Pacific time zone.
BUT, if most of your audience is near the US, plus you’re not a fan of Hostinger’s branding or SiteGround’s prices – definitely check DreamHost out! See our DreamHost review to find out more.
DreamHost’s customer support
DreamHost offers in- house customer support via Live Chat and ticketing, and from our own trials, they responded within minutes. But on top of having access to a team of WordPress experts, you can also make use of their active forum and their pretty sweet knowledge base.
There’s also no free telephone support, but you can request a call-back if you don’t mind paying.
Pros and cons of DreamHost
Pros
- Officially endorsed by WordPress
- Very fast server speeds within the US
- Outstanding speed performance
- Excellent security features
- 97-day money back guarantee
Cons
- No data centers outside the US (slower speeds for Asia or Oceania)
- Live Chat support limited to Pacific time zone
- Need to pay extra for telephone support
